Going to Tanner's in the fall is a great experience. Lots of great apples and other things to buy. It is a nice country drive to get there, and enjoy the fall. I had a chicken breast sandwich in the food market, that was very good. I hope Tanner's will be a longtime tradition into the future. I was sad to find that their donuts are made off site by someone else.

I had a fantastic time here with my family, we saw livestock, such as chickens, goats, and even llamas. They also have gumball machines with feed that you can give to the animals, the children really love that. There are plenty of activities throughout the year to enjoy, but you can go any time to see the playgrounds, orchards, farm equipment, a school bus and even a train engine modified for kids to play, learn, and explore. Before you leave, make sure to check out the store, where you can find homemade goods, such as, cider, pies, fudge, jams and jellies, pickles, and just about anything you can imagine. It really is a little slice of home and it reminds you of grandma's pantry full of mason jars with produce straight from the garden. Tanner's is truly a magical place and I for one will definitely be back again.

Good selection of fresh apples and be sure to sample and buy some cider. Cider will change through the season depending on the apples that are ripe.

Absolutely neat visit. We were there for the Christmas open house which meant only the gift shop was open. The gift shop was full of neat whimsical items and lots and lots of homemade jams, jelly’s, dips, pickled eggs, etc for sale. They also have a bakery where they sell fresh made bakery items. The apple turnovers are to die for! In the early fall they have a “back 40” fun park with a corn maze, barrel train rides, and many other fun activities. It’s most defiantly worth the trek to Speer, Illinois to see this wonderful orchard!

On Thursdays for lunch in the fall they have their roast beef. In the Fall, on a Thursday, during lunch, you should be at Tanners.

Probably the best cider anywhere. There is just a huge difference between Tanner's cider and any other brand. They also carry a great selection of other culinary item. Jam, jelly apple, and also peach salsa. The list goes on.
